Gene Hunt Should Have His Own Comic Book

Philip Glenister as Gene Hunt

Does the end of Ashes to Ashes have to mean the end of our beloved Gene Hunt? Absolutely not! Gene Hunt is the perfect antihero who deserves to live on through his own comic book!

Gene Hunt the perfect antihero!

Being the antihero has always been the rage in comics! Wolverine, The Punisher, and even Rorschach from The Watchmen are gloried by their method of dispensing justice. Gene is no different and with myself as head writer, a comic book could definitely be a hit. Whether it’s a mini-series or just a one issue special!

Gene Hunt is a complex character and there’s much more

My Top 10 List of the Best Comic Book Based Video Games

Den of Geek asked that I write an article aptly titled My Top 10 List of the Best Comic Book Based Video Games. (which you can read by clicking here) My early childhood consisted of the Commodore 64 and Atari 2600. Fast forward a few years and Nintendo was the holy grail at my house.

However, let us not forget that this was the era the shopping mall video game arcades! Which my father frequently visited, taking me and my twin sister with him. This is where my love affair with video games based on comic books would begin.

Because Your Kiss Is On My List!

Kiss the one you love!

Since today is officially Valentines Day, I thought I’d talk about the art (hand drawn!) of kissing. I’m not talking about a little peck on the cheek. No. I’m talking open mouth, wet, passionate, kisses, with lots of tongue action! A kiss too remember! Yummy!
Starfire and Robin kiss

Nightwing & Starfire really got the pages of Teen Titans steamy with their romance.  Young and full of raging hormones, Nightwing didn’t care if Starfire was an alien! She was a sexy alien, who not only took his heart but took his virginity too! Woo hoo!

She had bones which grew out of her skin, providing her with armor and weapons. (Not bad considering her mutant team-mate Maggott had it way worse. Read this if you don’t believe me.) Her healing factor is similar to Wolverine’s, along with her attitude. She had potential as one of the X-Men. So whatever happened to her?

My thinking is that she was ahead of her time. Maybe readers weren’t ready for her  “in your face”/”up

A 90’s Mutant Flop the X-Men Maggott

What in the [bleeping] world ever happened to the X-Men Maggott?

X-Men Maggott

This poor character didn’t stand a snowballs chance in hell. Aside from his disgusting name, he had NO super powers of his own. Instead he had two giant slugs that fed him super human strength. (Oh boy how exciting!!) Let’s also mention that his name is spelled with 2 T’s instead of the proper spelling of “maggot”. If that wasn’t bad enough he also didn’t get an exciting origin or backstory. Am I  supposed to believe he was rescued by Magneto as a child?

I remember he made his debut during the X-Men’s dry spell of good
