First, let me give a shout out to everyone who stopped by my booth during the 2017 Hunstville Comic Con. Whether it was to talk about The Deciders and/or purchase something from me, I enjoyed every minute of every conversation I had with you all. Thank you!
I didn’t know what to expect when I arrived but I can say with all honesty, that the people of Huntsville are hospitable, appreciative, and enthusiastic. Although it was the first year for Hunstville Comic Con, I can only see it growing bigger and better with each year to come. (And I do hope they continue with this). I’ll admit I wasn’t as prepared as I would’ve liked to have been. I’ll make certain I have physical copies of The Deciders next time. I will say this was a very different experience than the one I had at the 2013 New York Comic Con.
Seeing Old Friends and Making New Ones
I cannot describe how elated I was seeing my two dearest friends, Nathan Massengill and Kevin Stokes. So many years had passed since I last saw them. In the early part of my learning how to write comics, the three of us were roommates. Needless to say that was a very special time in my creative life. Now they have their own studio, Superpowered Studios which is remarkable and just perfect for those two. However, it’s Nathan I’m most proud of. In just a few short months he accomplished his goal of having a comic con at The Mill.
Ok, ok, that’s enough adulation. Time to get back to me and my fans! I do hope to hear from all of you who came by to chat with me over the weekend. If you didn’t purchase The Deciders at my table you can get all 5 issues right here and then tell me your thoughts on it. Opinions and criticism, either good or bad, are important to me.
Until then, take care and happy reading!
